The Parliament building opens its doors
The parliament building can be viewed free of charge on Swiss National Day. The chambers of the National Council and Council of States will be open, as well as the Kuppelhalle, the Wandelhalle and various committee rooms. The parliament guides will provide information about parliamentary procedures and recount fascinating information about the history of the Bundeshaus.
Between 10.00 and 11.00 there will be an open debate in the National Council chamber with the President of the National Council, Christa Markwalder, and the President of the Council of States, Raphaël Comte, under the chairmanship of SDA journalist Philippe Flück. Musical performances will complement the celebrations for the national holiday.
