Tips Aare swimming
What do you need to look out for? Murky waters, particularly strong currents, or exiting the river too far down: there are lots of reasons why swimmers and dinghy enthusiasts in or on the Aare River get into trouble. Stay safe, be aware of some very important rules and stick to them.

What’s more, the Aare map published by the Swiss Lifesaving Society (SLRG) has lots of advice on all the tricky spots along the Aare River. The staff at the various open-air swimming pools and lidos along the Aare are also there with help and advice. Rubber boat enthusiasts can also find important advice on making sure their boating trip down the Aare is safe and fun.
