City Parliament
The «Bern City Parliament» (legislature) is made up of 80 members who represent 15 parties and eight parliamentary groups on the Council.

Children's Parliament
The Children's Parliament aims to involve children resident in the City of Berne aged between 8 and 13 years and convenes three times a year. Membership is free of charge and provides an opportunity for children to participate in areas of interest (school / education, recreation, environment) and by means of a postulate, it can instruct the City Council to consider issues discussed in the Children's Parliament. Youth Parliament
The Youth Parliament of the City of Berne consists of youngsters and young adults aged between 14 and 25 years, resident in the City of Berne. Membership is free of charge. The members of the Youth Parliament meet twice a year. These «General Assemblies» are where they discuss, participate in and take decisions related to their projects and the use of finances at their disposal. Through a motion or postulate, the Youth Parliament can instruct the City Council of Berne to take action. Here you can find more information about the Youth Parliament in German.
